Jio Platforms and Morris Garages partner on connected car features

MG Motor India and Jio Platforms have joined forces to collaborate on a wide range of connected car features for the newly launched MG Comet EV. Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, expressed the company's ambition to become a "tech leader" through this partnership with Jio.

One of the notable features resulting from this collaboration is the Hinglish voice assistant, called "Hello Jio Voice Assistant," specifically designed for native Indian speakers who have diverse regional dialects and tonality. The voice assistant offers command and control functionalities, providing information on various domains such as Cricket, Weather, News, Horoscope, and more. It also includes futuristic capabilities like voice-controlled air conditioning and direct song playback.

Customers of the MG Comet EV will also benefit from Jio's innovative assets, integrating the Voice Assistant system with music apps, payment apps, connectivity platforms, and compatible hardware. The collaboration aims to enhance the overall connected car experience.

Gaurav Gupta emphasized the significance of technology and innovation in the connected car space, stating that software-driven devices are becoming increasingly prominent. The partnership with Jio, a tech innovator in the Smart Mobility sector, positions MG Motor as a leader in automotive technology.

In addition, the MG Comet EV incorporates Jio's advanced eSIM, which plays a crucial role in improving vehicle safety. The eSIM enables vehicle identification and encrypts communications during operation, further enhancing the security features of the vehicle.
